Review La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 Soothing Repairing Balm

Anyone who regularly curls their hair using a curling wand knows that it's pretty normal to touch it of your forehead, neck or ears. Usually it leaves a little red mark for about 5 minutes. I was getting ready for my boyfriends party last weekend and hit the end of the wand of my forehead. This time I heard a sizzling noise! The next evening, the red mark has turned into a blister. Being that it was on my forehead, I accidentally burst it.

A couple of days later when I'd arrived home, I began putting the Soothing Repairing Balm on it a couple of times a day. It immediately took away the itchiness and the red mark began to disappear. Within two days, the scab and dry skin had cleared up. The cream itself is very thick and creamy. I have also used this on my upper arms where I suffer from eczema. I haven't noticed a huge difference yet other than it not being as itchy. I do let the cream sit in my hands for a little bit before applying it as it is a little hard to properly rub in to larger areas. Although you can use it on the face, I would avoid doing so unless necessary as it left me quite oily.

Cicaplast Baume B5 is an all in one product used to soothe and repair skin irritations such as nappy rash, eczema, dry skin, sunburn, chapped lips and other non-bleeding, non-oozing wounds. Ingredients such as panthenol soothes irritation and redness while copper, zinc and manganese mineral complex work together to encourage epidermal barrier recovery, accelerating the skins natural recovery process. An ingredient called Madecassoside is known for its skin recovery and anti-bacteria adhesion properties. Cicaplast Baume B5 is fragrance and paraben free so is suitable for sensitive skin. It can be used on lips, face and body. This is definitely a product I will be bringing on holidays with me this year and a good thing to keep around the house. Cicaplast Baume B5 €7.50 for 40ml or €21.29 for 100ml from pharmacies nationwide including Boots.ie.

Have you tried this product? How do you find La Roche-Posay products in general?
